This month we are working on getting games
donated for our children to use during their indoor recess
times. If anyone has new or used games that are in good
condition and would like to donate them please drop them
off at the front office. These games and activities will
be put to great use by the children. We thank you in advance
for your generosity and continued support.

First Grade News
We are very proud of our first grade classes
for earning $75.00 by doing an act of kindness for someone.
This donation was matched by the Swansea Patrolman's Association
and contributed to the Toys for Tots campaign. Congratulations
to all who contributed to bringing happiness to other
children during the holiday season.

Second Grade News
During our 2nd Adopt a Cop visit students
asked their officers questions about being a policeman
and discussed home alone safety.
Also the officers responded to the letters
written to them by students. Ask them what they learned.
We will be working on telling time counting$$$
and our 100 numbers. Keep up the good work!

Please remember to
fill out the parent involvement survey and return
it to school with your student by Jan. 17.
-
School begins when
the 8:40 bell rings. If your child arrives after that
you must come in and sign them in.
-
Please continue to
donate games and other recess materials to your class.
Thanks to those who have given.
*This year the Josten
Renaissance Award will be given to each student that
receives a grade of 95% or higher on their Math Trimester
Tests.
*I would like to thank
parents for their patience and cooperation during drop-off
and dismissal times. Your continued support is appreciated.
*The Halloween Dance
was a huge hit. Thanks to all who attended and worked
to make it a Great night.
*Please check your
child's backpack on a daily basis. They tend to become
cluttered if not cleaned out. Help your child to understand
the importance of being organized and getting work,
teacher notes and information home to you.
Parking

In the
morning at drop off parents are asked not to park on
the school side of the street-parking is still allowed
next to the large playing/soccer field playground. Parking
in the parking lots is suggested. Parking on the same
side of the street as the buses is making it difficult
for the bus drivers and disturbing the local flow of
traffic.
Pick
Up
Please
do not enter the building before 2:50PM for student
pick up. The sign out sheet will now be located in the
gym to reduce traffic in the lobby.
Students

Please leave
all toys, cars and video games home. These items are
not to be taken into school or on the bus.
